Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Prefecture. A place where you can drink bottled Ramune from Japan's oldest Ramune manufacturer: Furuta Katsuyoshi Shoten Office (vending machine)

In Furukawa-cho, Nagasaki City, there is a vending machine at the "Furuta Katsuyoshi Shoten Office," where you can drink bottled ramune from Japan's oldest ramune manufacturer.

"This ramune is the oldest in Japan," the tagline and description read, along with a sign introducing Furuta Katsuyoshi.

A foreign doctor from the settlement trained him in the making of bottled ramune, which was called "champagne cider" at the time in 1877.

Even now, 140 years later, there is a place where you can enjoy the taste.

The picture of handshakes on the label is said to express the wish that "people all over the world will hold hands in friendship, drink ramune, and bring about peace."😊

Instructions on how to enjoy bottled ramune are written in English on the vending machine.
