Nagasaki 🇯🇵 Dejima

During the 200 years of Japan's isolation period, Dejima was the only port in Japan open to foreign trade. In the 19th century, there were 49 buildings in Shimanouchi, including residences, restaurants, warehouses, and sentry posts. Among them, the restoration of ten buildings, including the "Kapitan Trading Company Director's Room", has been completed. The stone warehouses visited by Ryoma Sakamoto and others at the end of the shogunate and the precious Western-style rooms from the Meiji period are now open to the public.
