Japan's National Historic Site - Dejima

#AprilGoodDestinations2025
Dejima is a nationally designated historic site in Japan as the "Dejima and Dutch Merchant House Ruins". After entering the "Omotemon Gate", artifacts related to Dejima's history and life are displayed, allowing everyone to further understand the life of the Dutch on Dejima in the past.
The Western culture introduced since ancient times has become a part of Nagasaki's history. The streets are still full of exotic atmosphere. The completed parts include the room of the head of the trading house (Kapitan Room), the room of the deputy head of the trading house (Heturu Room) which was originally the residence of the Dutch head of the trading house, the room of the otome (a management title), the kitchen, the warehouse, etc. Through these architectural displays, you can get a glimpse of the appearance at that time. There are also some cherry trees and Western-style buildings here. Even if you don’t like historical relics, it is a good place to check in.
