[Historic city] Nagasaki

Nagasaki is a city where history lives on🗾.

Peace Park is located at the hypocenter of the atomic bomb and on a hill to the north of it. It was created with a vow to never repeat war and a wish for world peace.
The park also contains the Peace Statue, a symbol of peace in Nagasaki.

Shimabara Castle was built by Matsukura Shigemasa during the Edo period🏯. It was attacked by rebel forces during the Shimabara Rebellion, led by Amakusa Shiro. It is now maintained as a castle ruins park, and the moat surrounding the main enclosure is colored with irises in spring and lotus flowers in summer🌼
