Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology

The Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology is located in Nagoya. The museum is located on the site of the former Toyota Automatic Loom Works. The museum displays cultural relics related to the textile machinery that the group started with and the automobile industry that later became its main focus.

The Fiber Machinery Museum displays about 100 textile machines, from the early tools for spinning and weaving to modern machinery, and also shows the process of turning cotton into cloth in ancient times. If you hadn’t come here, you wouldn’t have known that Toyota didn’t start out making cars.

The Automobile Pavilion even moved the entire automobile manufacturing plant here to show how cars are produced one by one, and also displays cars manufactured by Toyota in different eras.
