A trip to Atsuta Shrine in Aichi Prefecture! Atsuta Shrine is a historic shrine where the Kusanagi Sword, one of the Three Sacred Treasures, is enshrined. The shrine began when Emperor Yamato Takeru passed away and his wife Miyasuhime-no-Mikoto enshrined the Kusanagi Sword! You can watch a detailed video of the shrine's origins in the building, so if you're interested, be sure to check it out. When I entered the shrine grounds, I felt a refreshing feeling as if my heart was being cleansed by the vast grounds and lush trees. The visit to the main hall was a precious time that allowed me to forget about my daily life. I felt like I was surrounded by a sacred atmosphere and refreshed both my body and mind. At Atsuta Shrine Kusanagi Hall (a treasure trove of swords), there is also a corner where you can try lifting a sword. It was quite heavy and I had to lift it with all my might. If you want to experience the beauty of good old Japan, be sure to visit Atsuta Shrine!
