[Aichi] Even Oda Nobunaga came to pray at Atsuta Shrine! Introducing Atsuta Shrine

Atsuta Shrine in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, enshrines the Kusanagi Sword, one of the Three Sacred Treasures, and the sword itself is said to be the deity Amaterasu Omikami.

In 1560, Oda Nobunaga received news in the early hours of the morning that the Imagawa forces had attacked the Marugane Fort and Washizu Fort, which were under the control of the Oda clan. He got up from his bed, danced "Atsumori", ate some rice porridge, and then visited Atsuta Shrine to pray for victory.
He gathered about 2,000 soldiers here and defeated Imagawa Yoshimoto in the Battle of Okehazama.
