Jorakuden
A traditional Japanese building located inside Nagoya Castle in Aichi Prefecture, Japan
The main building inside the Honmaru Goten (main palace) built by order of the shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu in the early Edo period
A place where important government affairs and reception of dignitaries were held
The interior is decorated with a splendid space combining gold leaf decorations, traditional paintings, and elaborate woodworking techniques. It was destroyed during World War II, but was restored in 2018 after careful research, and is currently open to the public, and is evaluated as a valuable cultural asset where you can feel the history and architectural beauty of the time.

To protect the cultural asset, eating and drinking, flash photography, and tripod use are prohibited inside.
Because it is a restored wooden building, please move carefully inside.
