✓Shiratori Garden
Located near Atsuta Jingu Shrine, the Japanese garden covers an area of about 3.7 hectares and is the largest urban garden in the Tokai region. It is designed based on the topography of the Chubu region: the mountain symbolizes Mt. Ontake, the stream represents the Kiso River, and extends to the pond like Ise Bay, showing the story of water from the source to the sea. It is a typical Japanese garden with a pond and spring circulation style in the Edo period.
The garden has a teahouse "Seiwa-tei" that combines Kyoto Sukiya and Owari school crafts. The exterior is inspired by the white bird spreading its wings and falling. It provides seasonal cultural experiences such as tea ceremony, flower ceremony, and verse meeting. There is also the "Shioiri-no-niwa" that can simulate tidal changes, and the "Suikon-ku" that is rich in audio-visual artistic conception, where you can quietly enjoy the garden soundscape of flowing water and wind.
Entrance ticket is ¥300 yen. The park has elegant scenery and lush greenery, with flowing water, wooden bridges and stone paths. It is breathtakingly beautiful and is a great place for a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle.
