Atsuta Shrine

Atsuta Jingu Shrine is located in Atsuta Ward, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture.

Its founding dates back to 113 AD, boasting a rich history of over 1,900 years.

Devoted to warlords from the Warring States period, including Oda Nobunaga, it is a leading spiritual spot in Nagoya.

Six deities are enshrined here, including Atsuta Okami, Amaterasu Omikami, and Yamato Takeru.

It is also famous for enshrining the Kusanagi Sword, one of the Three Sacred Treasures, a treasure passed down through generations of imperial families.

Prayers offer a wide range of blessings, from home safety and protection from illness and disasters to finding good relationships and good luck in birth.

Take the Mintetsu Nagoya Main Line from Jingu-mae Station and walk for a 3-minute walk.
Take the Subway Meijo Line from Atsuta Jingu-nishi Station and walk for a 7-minute walk.
