Nakhon Phanom Walking Street is another must-see evening landmark for anyone visiting the Mekong River! This street starts at the Vietnamese Memorial Clock Tower and continues all the way to the Phaya Sri Satta Nakarat Plaza. The atmosphere is wonderful, especially in the evenings when the breeze is cool.
Open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from approximately 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, when people start to stroll, shop, and find delicious food. This long street is perfect for a leisurely stroll, offering a wide selection of food, souvenirs, clothing, bakery goods, snacks, and even handmade local products.
There's a wide selection of food, including freshly grilled khao jee (grilled rice), fragrant bakery items, local dishes, and many more snacks. You won't get bored walking around. There's also a chill-out area along the Mekong River, perfect for watching the sunset and enjoying the romantic Mekong River view.
📍 Recommendation: If you come around 6:30 PM, the weather will be cooler and you can stroll comfortably. This is the perfect time to capture Nakhon Phanom's stunning evening atmosphere.
