Okinawa World Heritage Nakijin Castle Ruins: Visit the ancient Ryukyu Castle between the mountains and the sea in the north

The Nakijin Castle Ruins are located on a hill in northern Okinawa. They are the remains of the castle of the King of Kitayama during the Ryukyu Kingdom era and are listed as a World Heritage Site "Castles and Related Sites of the Ryukyu Kingdom". The city wall is built along the mountainside and is magnificent. Looking out, you can overlook the beautiful view of the East China Sea. It is a famous place for cherry blossom viewing every spring. The city walls and the winter cherry blossoms complement each other, which is romantic and stunning!
