Walk along the #Ming City Wall, through the #Zhonghua Gate, and arrive at the #Da Baoen Temple site, the #Millennium Underground Palace, and the #Glass Pagoda.
👉Additional information: Da Baoen Temple is the oldest Buddhist temple in Chinese history. It is the second temple in China after the White Horse Temple in Luoyang and is the center of Buddhism in China. The glazed pagoda was built by Emperor Chengzu Zhu Di in memory of Emperor Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang and Empress Ma. The pagoda is 78.2 meters high, equivalent to the height of a 26-story building. It is made entirely of glazed tiles. There are eternal lamps inside and outside the pagoda. When it is lit at night, it can be seen from dozens of miles away. The Liuli Pagoda was the tallest building in China from its construction to its destruction and was hailed as one of the "Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages". Archaeologists have discovered a thousand-year-old underground palace and precious art galleries at the site of the Great Baoen Temple, and unearthed world-class national treasures such as stone and iron caskets, the seven-treasure Ashoka Pagoda, Buddha relics, and golden coffins and silver coffins. This year, a series of new metaverse gameplay has been launched, combining traditional culture and technology to lead tourists on a brand new immersive experience of traveling through ancient and modern Buddhist art.
