Myeonghyo-reung, a beautiful and pleasing sight no matter how many times you walk

The Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, which we arrived at via the trail past Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, was a remarkably well-maintained attraction.

The scale of the mausoleum, reminiscent of a palace, and the well-maintained gardens, walking paths, and landscaping within that grand scale, made these features stand out even more as the tomb of the Ming Taizu founder, Zhu Yuanzhang.

As I contemplated the expansive Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum and reached the mascot, the stone elephant statue, I felt truly blessed to have come to Nanjing. I was grateful to myself for resisting the temptation of the shuttle and exploring on foot.
