The autumn scenery in Nanjing is as beautiful as a painting, especially Chaotian Palace in the city center. The golden ginkgo trees paired with the ancient-style architecture make every shot a masterpiece! I recently visited and am sharing this stunning photo spot~
📍【Nanjing Museum (Chaotian Palace)】
Address: No. 4 Chaotian Palace, Wangfu Street, Qinhuai District
Ticket: 23 RMB
Opening Hours: 9:00-18:00 (Closed on Mondays)
🌟Best photo spots:
1️⃣ Front plaza of the main hall
A whole row of golden ginkgo trees as the background, combined with red walls and yellow tiles of traditional Chinese architecture. It’s recommended to wear Hanfu or light-colored clothes for truly amazing photos!
2️⃣ Lingxing Gate
Fewer people here, perfect for clean architectural close-ups. Sunlight filtering through ginkgo leaves onto the stone pavement creates beautiful light and shadow effects.
3️⃣ Jingtian Pavilion
You can capture the classic scene of the building’s roof framed with ginkgo trees. It’s best to shoot before 10 AM for optimal lighting.
📸Photo tips:
1️⃣ Be sure to come on a sunny day! Ginkgo trees look best under sunlight.
2️⃣ Bring a telephoto lens to capture overlapping shadows of ginkgo leaves and architecture.
3️⃣ 3-5 PM is the golden hour for backlit photography.
4️⃣ Elderly people like to stroll here, so you can also shoot some cultural and human-interest photos.
👗Outfit suggestions:
Vintage or modern Chinese styles are recommended to match the architecture. I wore a white qipao with a navy blue vest, and my friends all said it looked great!
💡Practical tips:
1️⃣ Remember to bring your ID card; you need to scan it to enter the park.
