The Jiji branch line is the longest railway branch line of the Taiwan Railway. It was originally built for the purpose of transporting reservoirs for hydroelectric power generation. Later, due to its rich tourist resources, it became the pioneer of Taiwan's tourist railway. It is also the only railway still in operation in Nantou County. The main stations of the Jiji line are: Ershui Station, Yuanquan Station, Zhuoshui Station, Longquan Station, Jiji Station, Shuili Station, and Checheng Station. Remember to check in at the nostalgic Jiji Railway Station and the old train.
