Napa Valley - where the wine is bottled poetry

Growing up in the 90’s, Napa Valley seemed like a place where all the cool kids lived. Films like The Parent Trap showed it as a whimsical place where the sun shines all year round and life is constantly sweet.

Fast forward to today, what is like to visit this world famous wine region? It really is like a dream, but maybe for different reasons compared to when I was a kid!

Rolling hills, beautiful vistas and winery after winery abound. Life is relaxed, though maybe not slow paced here. It offers a completely different experience to other places in California such as the big city life of San Francisco and Los Angeles where things really are on edge.

We took a drive and just seen what winery’s took our fancy - there’s plenty to choose from! You’re certainly not going to be short of choice.

Some are a lot cheaper than others when it comes to taking a tour and trying the tasters on offer. We went for a tour of the Sutter Home vineyard and certainly weren’t disappointed. It was well worth the money and experience!

So make sure you include a trip to a vineyard into your California road trip.
