A 3-hour tour of Nara's sightseeing spots! Recommended itinerary

A must-read for those who plan to visit Kyoto or Nara in addition to a trip to Osaka!

You can get to the tourist spots of Nara from Osaka by train in 40 to 55 minutes, and my recommendation is to take a course around Nara Park.

1. Nara Park

It is a vast park with many temples nearby. In addition, about 1,300 wild deer play in groups within the park, and many people visit it as a tourist spot symbolizing the ancient city of Nara.

However, the deer leave the park around 5pm, so if you go earlier than that and buy some deer crackers for 200 yen, it will be a good memory.

Also, although I didn't have time to go,

Todaiji Temple is within walking distance, and I recommend seeing the famous Great Buddha.

📍Access to Nara Park
・About 8 minutes walk from Kintetsu Nara Station
・About 20 minutes walk from JR Nara Station
・Or take the Nara Kotsu bus (city loop/outer loop) for 7 minutes and get off at "Kencho-mae"

2. Sarusawa Pond
The pond in Nara Park is a beautiful sight with the five-story pagoda of Kofuku-ji Temple reflected on the water along with the surrounding willows, and is said to be one of the Eight Views of Nara.
There are benches around so you can take a leisurely break✌🏼
The famous Nakatanido mugwort mochi is sold nearby, so it's a good idea to buy some and eat it.
Nakatanido mochi is 180 yen each and can be eaten on the spot or taken home.

3. Hirasou
It is said that Nara is not very famous for its rice, but the famous persimmon leaf sushi Hirasou is recommended💓
It is about a 5-minute walk from Sarusawa Pond
For lunch, there were various sets with persimmon leaves for about 2000 yen, so I think it is recommended.

4. Kasuga Taisha
There are bus stops in many places, so you can go from anywhere, but I took a 15-minute bus ride from the bus stop at the end of the shopping district to Kasuga Taisha.

You can buy an admission ticket and take photos while looking at the lanterns inside, but it's also nice to walk around Kasuga Taisha, so I recommend it.

5. Kashiya
I heard that there is always a line, so I made a reservation. It's close to Hiramune in 3, but I went there after I was hungry. There are many Japanese sweets and the atmosphere of the shop is very nice.

I said it was summer, so I had shaved ice, but it seems that they also have anmitsu in winter.

This course took me about 3 hours❣️
The recommended tourist spots in Nara are also easily accessible by train from Osaka, so I think you can easily visit them even if you are staying in Osaka.

Please go and make some travel memories🙂
