Chartering a car to visit the northeast corner of northern Taiwan is time-saving and convenient

If you want to explore the northeast corner of Taipei in one day, we highly recommend you consider carpooling or chartering a car for a day trip.
Most tourists who come to Taipei for the first time will definitely visit Jiufen, Jinguashi, 13 Ruins (also known as: City in the Sky), Shifen Waterfall, and the sky lantern release at Shifen Station. These attractions are very time-consuming to reach by public transportation, so chartering a car is highly recommended. (Prices range from NT$3400 to NT$4100, if you share a car, it costs about NT$1100 per person)

This time I took my kids on their own, and Taiwan is hot in the summer. If they took the bus, they might get heat stroke because of the transfer and waiting. So I chose to charter a car, which was really convenient and allowed me to visit many attractions.
