The Laomei Green Stone Trough is located in Laomei Village, Shimen District, New Taipei City. It was originally a volcanic reef on the coast. Due to wave erosion and carving, it formed very beautiful vertical grooves. The green seaweed growing on the grooves formed an amazing "Green Stone Trough"; it is a seasonal limited edition!
Laomeishicao, also known as the Greenshicao Coast, is a rare and unique landscape in Taiwan, attracting many photography enthusiasts or tourists to stop and watch. The entire coastal groove is covered with seaweed, forming one "green stone groove" after another, dyeing the entire coast a bright green spring color.
Although Shicao is a geological term, Laomei Shicao has both fine sandy beaches and eroded volcanic rock shores, which are suitable for the attachment and growth of seaweed. The alternation of new and old algae creates this beautiful and charming algae reef.
