๐Ÿ™๏ธ๐ŸŒ„ใ€I stayed in Taipei (Taipei 101), Jiufen and Pingxi for two days and one night๐ŸŽˆใ€‘

A spontaneous mini-escape ๐Ÿ’ผ
โœ”๏ธ City skyline โœ”๏ธ Old street food โœ”๏ธ Mountain city in the mist โœ”๏ธ Train + sky lanterns
I didn't want to miss anything, so I almost packed myself back home too ๐ŸŽ

๐Ÿ“Day 1: A short city trip ๐Ÿ’ซ

Starting from Taipei 101!
๐Ÿš€ The elevator was almost down, but my eardrums were still on the ground, and my heart was already soaring into the clouds!
From the observation deck, Taipei looked like a miniature, and I thought to myself:
"Don't worry too much. From this high up, life is just like this~"

At noon, I headed to Dihua Street. ๐Ÿฅข Herbal tea + Gua Bao (steamed buns) + the aroma of Chinese medicine = a Taiwanese culmination!

Hidden in the old house is a stunning cafe. I took so many photos that I almost forgot I was there to eat ๐Ÿ“ธ

๐Ÿงง A walk around Lungshan Temple for a moment of reverence. I silently wished, "Please don't oversleep my train tomorrow ๐Ÿ™!"

The night market is over! Shilin oyster omelet + stinky tofu + fried chicken cutlet...
My stomach said, "Miss, this isn't dinner, this is a challenge ๐Ÿ˜ต๐Ÿ’ซ"

๐Ÿ“Day 2: 18-bend mountain road and sky lantern tour ๐ŸŒซ๏ธ๐ŸŽˆ

Took the train to Ruifang early in the morning, then took the bus to Jiufen.

The mountain city was shrouded in mist, and walking down the old street felt like stepping into another time.

Lots of stairs, lots of tourists, and lots of taro balls ๐Ÿ โœจ

โ˜• Sipping hot tea in a teahouse, gazing at the misty mountains in the distance, my heart slowly calmed.

Who says travel requires an itinerary? Just sitting and daydreaming is also a form of check-in.

I took the Pingxi train to 10:00 this afternoon. The train swayed gently.

The scenery along the way was incredibly relaxing, instantly making me think, "I feel like I'm free of worries now!" ๐ŸŽถ

The highlight is here๐ŸŽŠ: releasing! Sky! Lanterns!

I wrote, "I hope my future will be more bouncy than taro balls and soar higher than sky lanterns๐ŸŒŸ."

Watching them take off, my worries flew away too (I hope it's not just the sky lanterns).

๐ŸŽ’My hidden tips:

๐Ÿš‡ Taipei City is easily accessible by MRT. Remember to bring your EasyCard!

๐Ÿš‚ I recommend buying a one-day ticket for the Pingxi Line; you can skip stops as often as you like, which is awesome!
๐ŸšŒ Get on the Jiufen bus early, or the crowds will turn it into a "crowded trip." ๐Ÿ˜…
โ˜” Bring rain gear; the weather in this mountain city can change unpredictably!
