Hakusan Park

It is located in Ichibanbori-dori-cho, Chuo-ku, Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture, and was one of the first parks in Japan, opened by a proclamation from the Grand Council of State in January 1873. This area was also selected as one of the "100 Best Urban Parks in Japan" in 1989.

I went there because the best time to see the lotus flowers is mid-August, but since it was in the afternoon, there were not many in bloom.

It is about a 20-minute walk from Hakusan Station on the JR Echigo Line, about a 26-minute walk from Niigata Station, and if taking the bus, it is about a 3-minute walk from the Niigata Kotsu bus stop "City Hall Mae" and the "Niigata City Tourist Circulator Bus" takes about 10 minutes to get to Hakusan Park first.
