Located directly inside Niigata Station, Ponshukan is a convenient place to try Niigata sake, starting at just 500 yen.

It's super easy to use.
After telling the counter staff you'd like to try it and paying 500 yen, you'll be given a sake cup and five special coins. Then, you can sample as many sakes as you like.

Just insert the required number of coins into the dedicated machine, which is lined with sake packages, and press the yellow button to dispense a sake cup full of sake.
