Day trip from Tokyo to Nikko

It is a tourist spot that can be visited on a day trip from Tokyo by train.
First, we went to Nikko Toshogu Shrine. It enshrines the deified Tokugawa Ieyasu. The detailed decorations are very luxurious and worth seeing.
The famous three monkeys and sleeping cats are decorated under the roof.

From there, we went to Nikko Edo Village. Although we did not use it, it seems that there is a free shuttle from Nikko Toshogu Shrine to Edo Village.

You can also see plays and processions such as ninjas and courtesans.
