I went to Nikko Toshogu Shrine

This time, I went to Nikko Toshogu Shrine, a World Heritage Site! Did you know that there are many places named Toshogu Shrine? Toshogu Shrine refers to a shrine that enshrines Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of the Edo Shogunate. So, Nikko Toshogu Shrine is a shrine in Nikko that enshrines Tokugawa Ieyasu.

When you think of Nikko Toshogu Shrine, you think of Yomeimon Gate. When you stand in front of Yomeimon Gate, you will be overwhelmed by its power! Please try standing in front of Yomeimon Gate once. You will probably unconsciously find yourself holding a camera. There are many other photo spots besides Yomeimon Gate. There are sleeping cats, three monkeys, three sacred treasures, five-story pagodas, etc. Every building is really beautiful, so I recommend it.

Inside the Honjido Hall, you can experience a phenomenon called a crying dragon. It was more amazing than I thought, so I would definitely recommend you experience it.

It is accessible by walking 30 minutes from JR Nikko Station or Tobu Nikko Station on the Tobu Railway, or by bus for about 10 minutes. There is a slope from the station, so we recommend taking the bus.
