Hidden in the mountains, about 2.5 hours' drive from Tokyo, the hotel is located on the shores of the beautiful Lake Chuzenji. As the first Ritz-Carlton hotel in the world to offer an authentic Japanese hot spring experience, this is truly a unique environment that celebrates nature and has a World Heritage Site.

🏨Room Experience
The room I stayed in had a great view. All 94 rooms and suites have private balconies. The main color of the room is white maple, and the interior is simple and warm, which highlights the pleasant mountain and lake views outside the window. The balcony is designed to bring the beautiful lake view indoors and provide more space for guests to relax. The toiletries in the room are from Diptyque. The lotion is very easy to use and absorbs well. The double sink design makes the bathroom very large and spacious.

🍽️Dining Experience
Dining is also a highlight at The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko. The hotel's restaurant and bar use local ingredients from Tochigi to prepare delicious dishes. Whether it's the fresh local ingredients, the carefully selected utensils, or the creative presentation that breaks the limits of tradition, every meal here is like a work of art.

As the first Ritz-Carlton hotel to offer an authentic Japanese hot spring experience, the hotel has introduced hot spring water containing natural sulfur, and the baths are available both outdoors and indoors. The outdoor hot spring pool is separated only by floor-to-ceiling glass windows. In autumn, when the trees are all dyed golden maple, you can enjoy the charming view while soaking in the hot spring.

The service at The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko is also impeccable. Every employee is courteous and makes you feel at home. The young man who checked me in was very serious and prepared everything in advance. It's been a long time since I've met such a polite front desk. He even knelt down to check me in. I give him a thumbs up!

Overall, The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko exceeded my expectations. The location, facilities, and service all made me feel that this trip was worth it.
