[Shimoimaichi Station] The SL Taiki Futara is something you should try at least once.

Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture. Shimoimaichi Station on the Tobu Kinugawa Line. I rode on the steam locomotive that I had always wanted to ride. The train I rode this time was the SL Daiki Futara 72 bound for Kinugawa Onsen, departing Shimoimaichi Station at 13:30. Because it had snowed the day before, only one round trip was operated that day, but miraculously I was able to ride the steam locomotive. It seems that it usually runs four round trips a day. The seats on the SL Daiki that I rode were two-seater cross seats like those on the Shinkansen or limited express trains. There was a car with a box seat with a table in another car where you could eat your meal. There was also an open observation deck where you could feel the smoke and wind of the steam locomotive. The inside of the car was like a tourist train, and the steam locomotive tourist attendant explained the various views from the window, and I was given a pamphlet with tourist information and other information along with my commemorative boarding certificate. There was also on-board sales. The ride took 36 minutes! It was a fun time that flew by in a flash. And many people waved to me from outside the window, which made me feel very warm and happy. The Tobu Kinugawa Line offers a variety of scenery throughout the year. It's a wonderful experience, so be sure to try it out. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - #Trains #Kinugawa Onsen#Domestic Transportation
