#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck

Address:
2307 Sannai, Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture 321-1431, Japan 📍 (Located near Nikko Toshogu Shrine, about a 5-minute walk from the Taiyuin/Futarasanjinja-mae bus stop)

Atmosphere/Location:
The Nikko Futarasan Jinja Haiden is part of the Futarasan Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located in central Nikko, next to Toshogu Shrine and Rinnoji Temple. 🏯 The shrine grounds are peaceful and filled with a sacred aura, surrounded by large cedar trees that provide shade and a sense of tranquility. 🌳 The Haiden (worship hall) is the main building where visitors pray and make offerings. Built in a simple yet elegant style with an Irimoya roof and its signature vermilion color 🛕, the smell of incense and the sound of leaves rustling through the grounds creates a feeling of being transported back in time 😌. The surrounding area features a shrine garden (Shin'en Garden), which requires an entrance fee of 200 yen, but is filled with sacred trees and small shrines that add to the mystical atmosphere of the place 🌿. However, during peak seasons such as autumn, it can get quite crowded. A little bit of a disturbance 🙈

Highlights:
- Long History: Built in 767 by the monk Shodo Shonin, who spread Buddhism in Nikko, this shrine honors the deities of Nikko's three sacred mountains: Mount Nantai, Mount Nyoho, and Mount Taro. 🏔️ The Haiden was first built in 1619 and rebuilt in 1645, making it one of the oldest structures in Nikko.

Average Price per Person:
- Entrance to the Haiden and Main Shrine Grounds: Free 🎉
- Shin'en Garden: 200 yen (approximately 50 baht) 🌳
- Bus fare from Tobu Nikko Station or JR Nikko to Taiyuin/Futarasanjinja-mae: 320 yen (approximately 75 baht), or a one-day pass for 500 yen 🚌

Rating:
