Bohai Shangjing Longquanfu Palace City Ruins

Located in Ning'an City, Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang Province, the Bohai Shangjing Longquanfu Palace City Ruins were the core area of the capital of the Bohai Kingdom (698-926 AD) during the Tang Dynasty. It was the political, economic, and cultural center, symbolizing the power of the "Prosperous Kingdom of the East Sea." The site follows the Tang Dynasty Chang'an city's planning concept of "central axis symmetry and orderly layout," with core buildings arranged along the north-south axis. Existing remains include the Meridian Gate, palace foundations, and imperial garden ponds, clearly showing the grand layout of the palace city.
This site is among the first batch of cultural heritage protection units.
