Ningbo Botanical Gardens

Ningbo Botanical Gardens is located in Zhenhai district. It can be accessed via local buses or by taxi. From Jiangbei to the gardens costs around 25RMB. Entry into the gardens is 30-60RMB depending on current events or time of year. Generally, I’ve always paid 30RMB.

Once inside the garden you can veer off to the right where you will find the maze of fresh flowers lay out in a winding path style. Here there are benches to sit or small grass areas to enjoy.

Further inside the gardens, you can find an old train sat on the unused tracks ready to sit inside and eat. Many families go inside here for lunch or a break from the sun.

As you continue into the park, you can find 2 small shops which serve food and drink, as well as a pond with water fountain. Follow the gardens around and explore the different areas.

It’s worth a good few hours here.
