Linglong Lake Tourist Area is a 4A-level tourist attraction created by Henan Zhongsheng Cultural Tourism Company and a "key construction project in Henan Province". It has a planned area of 25.2 square kilometers and a total investment of 2.17 billion yuan. It is located in a prime location in the ring-shaped recreation belt connecting Xinyang Nanwan Lake, Lingshan Temple, and Jigong Mountain, three 4A-level tourist scenic spots. It has convenient transportation and is only a 15-minute drive from the urban area.
The tourist area is rich in natural landscapes such as tea mountains, bamboo forests, Du River, Linglong Lake, and ancient ginkgo trees. The peak value of negative oxygen ions reaches 200,000 per cubic centimeter, which is nearly 100 times the highest level (level 6) of my country's air negative oxygen ion health evaluation standard. It is a veritable "natural oxygen bar."
With strong support from governments at all levels, the Linglong Lake Ecological and Cultural Tourism Zone project has entered its development and construction phase. Phase I, encompassing the Southern Henan Folk Culture and Tourism Village, the Jianghuai Food Street, and the Happy Water Valley, was completed in 2015 and is now operational. The entire scenic area is scheduled for completion in 2020.
The subtropical monsoon climate provides ample sunshine and humid air, making it suitable for travel in all four seasons.
Linglong Lake Ecological and Cultural Tourism Area has food tasting, folk experience, water entertainment, farming and picking, Zen tea health care, leisure and vacation, hot spring therapy, and happy elderly care as its main functions. It has planned "one street, one village, one valley, one district, one temple, one garden, and one hot spring" - "seven ones" key projects and the "National Intelligent Elderly Care Experimental Base" approved by the National Aging Office.
