Summer vacation shopping in Ningbo with my bestie! Here’s a three-day itinerary!

Made plans with my bestie to visit Ningbo this summer vacation, and this trip was absolutely amazing—fun and super budget-friendly. Hurry and take notes! We earned back the highway toll on the very first day~
Day 1: Head straight to Darencun, step one to save money
• In the morning, first get your highway toll reimbursed by taking your receipts to the service desk—basically free admission. My bestie was amazed by this smart move!
• For lunch, grab some casual snacks inside the scenic area—grilled sausages, fried chicken, ice jelly... munch while strolling, can’t stop eating~
• In the afternoon, you must soak in Dayu Water Village! This water park just opened, the water is super clean, the kids’ area is perfect for a relaxed time, and the thrilling slides are for the brave besties. Screaming and playing all afternoon is so stress-relieving~
• The nightlife at Sleepless Darencun is stunning! Once the lights come on, the atmosphere is instantly elevated. Watch the live show “The Legend of Shennong” with upgraded special effects—amazing! After the show, stroll through the illuminated flower sea and snap photos to flood your social feed~
• Stay at Daranyi Hotel, the scenic hotel package is super cost-effective, the rooms are quiet, and after a long day, you’ll sleep well~
Day 2: City sightseeing and food tour
• In the morning, visit Tianyi Pavilion, a quiet Jiangnan garden. Take photos with your bestie, browse ancient books, and soak in the cultural heritage~
• In the afternoon, explore Nantang Old Street. Try Ningbo rice dumplings, rice cakes, marinated duck... sample all the local snacks. The old street architecture is also very photogenic, making it super enjoyable to eat and stroll~
Day 3: Choose one based on your preference
• If you like ancient style, go to Xiangshan Film and Television City. You might even spot a celebrity! Wearing Hanfu with your bestie for photos is super atmospheric~
• If you prefer nature, head to Dongqian Lake. Rent a bike and ride around the lake, chatting in the breeze—so comfortable you won’t want to leave~
