Niseko Town New Year's Eve Celebration

As the year comes to an end, the ski resorts in Niseko Town will host a variety of lively New Year's Eve celebrations. The Hirafu Ski Resort's "Light Up the Night" event will offer night skiing until 8:30 PM, followed by a torchlight descent at midnight. Annupuri Ski Resort will also hold its own torch parade, free night skiing, and live music performances starting at 7:30 PM. In Niseko Village, visitors can enjoy live jazz and taiko drum performances, taste traditional New Year's soba noodles, and watch a grand fireworks display at midnight to welcome 2025. Nearby Rusutsu Ski Resort will present a fireworks show featuring 1,200 fireworks and a torchlight ski performance, providing another option for visitors.

The celebrations will continue through New Year's Day. Niseko Village will open the sunrise gondola around 7:30 AM, allowing visitors to enjoy panoramic views of Mount Yotei, while Hanazono EDGE at the Garden Ski Resort will host traditional Japanese New Year events and snow activities.
