Standing on cliffs overlooking the North Sea, Tantallon Castle was one of the most dramatic fortresses I’ve ever visited. Its massive red sandstone wall faces the sea like a guardian, while the rest of the castle has weathered into picturesque ruins. Climbing the battlements rewarded me with staggering views of Bass Rock and the coastline. The sound of waves crashing below made the atmosphere unforgettable. It’s raw, windswept, and awe-inspiring—a castle that embodies both Scotland’s rugged beauty and turbulent history. #mytraveldiary
