The Haunted Gatehouse

The castle’s gatehouse is infamous among ghost hunters. Cameras fail, lights flicker, and a shadow has been seen moving along the staircase. I didn’t believe in such things — until I visited near closing time. The wind dropped suddenly, and the air turned thick. I took a photo, and my phone glitched — freezing for several seconds before restarting. When I looked back, the gatehouse was in shadow, but I swear I saw a flicker of movement. True or not, the feeling was unforgettable.
