[The restaurant where omurice was first created] A 100-year-old history! Exquisite omurice in Shinsaibashi, Osaka

Actually, there is a very famous restaurant in Osaka that is the birthplace of omurice.

That is "Hokkyokusei" Osaka Shinsaibashi main store.

The origin of the birth of omurice...
There was such a story! I found out for the first time when I went to this restaurant! 😳
※It is in the last photo↑

[The taste of the omurice you are curious about]

◼️Standard omurice

Wow, this was really unexpected.

It was really delicious.

When I ordered, the picture on the menu didn't look very appetizing somehow 😂
I thought it would come out as a regular old-fashioned ketchup omurice...

I had low expectations 😅
But the first bite was so delicious that I was impressed!

First of all, the egg was fluffy and soft and really delicious.
The rice was not too strong, and the sauce was a gentle tomato sauce with a subdued acidity.

You can choose from chicken, mushrooms, beef, pork, etc. for the rice in the standard omurice.

This time, I ordered the standard omelet rice

Mushroom (with cheese) ¥1330

Beef (fried shrimp & miso soup set) ¥1740

and both were delicious.

[Interior atmosphere]

And this building was actually built in 1950!

The interior is a traditional tatami room.

The courtyard was also lovely.

The restroom is Japanese-style! The unisex restroom at the entrance is Western-style, so I was surprised 😂

At the entrance, there are photos that give a sense of history, the origin of the creation of omelet rice,
and autographs of famous people.

[Price]

◼️Standard Omelet Rice
¥1080 ~¥1420

◼️Original Omelet Rice
¥1250 ~ ¥1950
