Recommended spots for sightseeing in Osaka are here✨
"Takatsumiya Takatsu Shrine"
In the 8th year of the Jogan era (866), a shrine was built in a place associated with Emperor Nintoku by imperial decree of Emperor Seiwa✨
The current shrine building was rebuilt after the war, but Takatsu Shrine is known as the setting for the classic rakugo stories "Takatsu no Tomi," "Takakura Fox," and "Tatakato-in," and has been bustling as a cultural center for Osaka townspeople since ancient times✨It is a historic shrine where rakugo stories are performed at "Takatsu no Tomitei" within the shrine grounds✨
In addition, "Takatsumiya" appears in the Osaka City Song, and is considered to be the beginning of Osaka✨
📍Location: 1-1-29 Takatsu, Chuo-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture
🚇Access: 5 minutes walk from "Tanimachi 9-chome Station" on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line
