[A rare shrine built as the "final resting place of a god" in Japan]

📍Ehime Prefecture, Sukunahikona Shrine

This shrine was built to worship the place where Sukunahikona (a god in Japanese mythology) who appears in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki is said to have died.
The Sanroden is a kakezukuri structure with about 90% of its floor area protruding from the mountain cliff on the northern slope along the approach,
and the longest legs are 8.3m.

In addition to the traditional nuki construction method,
modern technology is also actively incorporated into the kakezukuri structure.
In addition, the upper single-story part has glass doors on three sides, creating an open interior space.
