Sukunahikona Shrine is affectionately known as "Shinno-san" and is said to be a god with a wide range of powers, including medicine, hot springs, and sake brewing.
Doshomachi, where Sukunahikona Shrine is located, is a distinctive area where many pharmaceutical companies gather.
Since the time when Toyotomi Hideyoshi was flourishing in commerce, it has developed as a place for trading medicines and has become a "medicine town" to this day.
Every November, the Shinno Festival is held.
It is an intangible cultural property of Osaka City and is said to be "Osaka's festivals start with Ebessan and end with Shinno-san."
