Dear friends! I discovered an amazing shop in Osaka—wad, and every visit brings new surprises~
Stepping into wad feels like entering a dream of Japanese aesthetics. The place is filled with all kinds of uniquely crafted utensils, each radiating its own charm. On my second visit, I happened to catch Yousuke Kojima’s solo exhibition. I had been deeply attracted by this artist’s work before; the unique green color in his pieces is actually made from the ashes of burned red pine wood. This distinctive creative method gives the works a special vitality. For example, the square plate in the picture has a silver part made of real silver on the surface, which gradually changes color over time, as if telling the story of time itself, making one look forward to this transformation.
The tea room on the second floor of the shop is also a must-visit—quiet and cozy. Here, you can brew a pot of sencha, and even the leftover tea leaves can be eaten, with no waste at all. Every detail highlights the refinement and meticulousness of Japanese aesthetics.
If you are a fan of Japanese tableware or want to experience authentic Japanese aesthetic vibes, you definitely shouldn’t miss wad! Take a stroll here and encounter your own piece of beauty~
