Fujita Museum, Osaka | A Treasure Trove Where Art and Tradition Intertwine

This private museum, founded by the Fujita family in 1954, houses about 2,000 ancient artworks from East Asian countries such as China and Japan, including 9 national treasures and 53 important cultural properties. The museum’s crown jewel is the Southern Song Dynasty "Yohen Tenmoku Tea Bowl," one of only three complete pieces in the world. Its mysterious glaze color is truly breathtaking!

The museum was converted from the old warehouse of the Fujita family residence. After modern renovation, the building, garden, and surrounding environment blend perfectly. The transparent glass facade and the large stone path you step on when entering create a full sense of ceremony. The old materials from the original warehouse are cleverly reused, connecting the past and present.

At the entrance, the tea room offers a tea and snack set for 500 yen per person, perfect for resting after exploring. Although the exhibition area is not large, every piece is worth savoring. For example, you can view an authentic painting by Yuan Dynasty artist Huang Gongwang up close, which is truly rare.
