Osaka Castle|The symbol of Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s reign, one of Japan’s three great castles

📍 Location
1-1 Osaka Castle, Chuo Ward, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture

🚉 Transportation
• From Osaka Station:
Take the JR Osaka Loop Line to "Osakajokoen Station" or "Morinomiya Station," then walk about 10 minutes after exiting.
You can also take the Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Subway Line to "Osaka Business Park Station," then walk about 5 minutes.
• Tip:
The area around the main keep is vast, so it’s recommended to wear comfortable shoes. It’s especially popular during the cherry blossom season in spring.

📝 Personal Experience

Osaka Castle is truly more than just a tourist photo spot; its history and grandeur leave a deep impression. The main keep’s white walls and golden decorations are spectacular, making it great for photos in any season, especially during the cherry blossoms in spring or the autumn maple leaves, which are unbelievably beautiful.
This time, I entered from the "Osakajokoen Station" side, passing by the moat and stone walls, which really gives you a feeling of stepping into the Sengoku period. Although there is an admission fee to enter the main keep (about 600 yen for adults), inside there are exhibits about Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and you can go up to the top floor to overlook the entire Osaka cityscape, which is definitely worth it.
The park area is large, with many locals picnicking, jogging, and I even saw people practicing kendo. It’s truly a city green space that combines history and daily life.
If you have a whole afternoon, take your time walking and exploring, and you’ll find Osaka Castle is actually richer in experience than you might expect.
