Osaka Castle Park is located in Chuo Ward, Osaka City, centered around Osaka Castle’s main tower. It is a popular spot for cherry blossom viewing and sightseeing. Here are the main transportation options to help you get there easily!
From the city center
Take the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line from Umeda or Namba to "Tanimachi 4-chome Station" or "Temmabashi Station," then walk about 10-15 minutes to the park. The ride takes about 10-15 minutes, and the fare is 230-280 yen. Alternatively, take the JR Loop Line to "Osaka Castle Park Station," then walk about 10 minutes; the fare is around 180 yen. You can also take the JR Tozai Line to "Osakajokitazume Station," then walk about 10 minutes.
From Kansai Airport
Take the JR Kansai Airport Rapid Service to Kyobashi Station, transfer to the Osaka Metro Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line to "Osaka Business Park Station," then walk about 15 minutes. The entire trip takes about 1 hour and costs around 1,400 yen. Alternatively, take the limousine bus to Osaka Station, then transfer to the subway or JR, which takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
From Kyoto and Kobe
From Kyoto, take the JR Special Rapid Service to Osaka Station, then transfer to the Loop Line to "Osaka Castle Park Station." The trip takes about 50 minutes and costs around 970 yen. From Kobe, take the JR Special Rapid Service to Osaka Station, then transfer to the Loop Line. The trip takes about 40 minutes and costs around 810 yen.
Practical Tips
It is recommended to use Google Maps to check real-time schedules. The Osaka Amazing Pass allows unlimited subway rides and free entry to the main tower (9:00 AM–5:00 PM, 600 yen for adults), which is very cost-effective. Inside the park, there are plum groves, cherry blossom areas, and the Nishinomaru Garden. It’s beautiful for cherry blossom viewing in spring and autumn foliage viewing in fall, perfect for a leisurely stroll.
