If you come to Osaka seeking good luck and wish fulfillment, you must not miss "Sumiyoshi Taisha"! This shrine, with a history of 1800 years, is the head shrine of over 2300 Sumiyoshi shrines across Japan. Crossing the "Soribashi" (also known as the Taiko Bridge), which symbolizes purification, is said to dispel disasters and misfortunes.
Inside the shrine, the "Gosho Gozen" is one of the most sacred spiritual sites. According to legend, Empress Jingū saw three white herons here and decided to build the shrine.
Visitors can look for small stones inscribed with "Five," "Great," and "Power." After collecting them all, place them in a special amulet pouch, which is said to grant five kinds of powers: physical strength, intelligence, financial power, fortune, and longevity.
Other highlights not to be missed include the "Omokaru Stone" divination, the "Tanekashi Shrine" related to the fairy tale of Issun-bōshi, and a camphor tree over a thousand years old.
