[Osaka] God of business prosperity and family safety - Nankinsha Shrine

Deity: Uga no Mitama no Mikoto

He is said to be the god of business success and household safety.

This shrine is the central shrine for Hattatsu Mairi and is called "Hattatsu-san". Many business people visit the shrine.

If you visit the shrine on the "Hatsutatsu" (the first day of the month) of each month on the calendar, you will be believed to have "development" (Hattatsu = a pun on "Hatsutatsu") and will be given a lucky cat (beckoning cat) as proof of your visit. If you continue to do this for 48 months (4 years), you will be "Shijuu Hattatsu" (Shijuu Hattatsu = a pun on "48 Tatsu") and will be granted good fortune and have all your wishes fulfilled. It is said that the shrine is revered from all over Japan.
