Pan'an is the source of Zhejiang's Yandang Mountain, Kuancang Mountain, Huiji Mountain and Xianxialing Mountain, and one of the main source areas of the four major water systems: Qiantang River, Oujiang River, Lingjiang River and Cao'e River.
