🌸 Osaka Travel Review:
A charming city full of color and laughter 🌸
Japan… just thinking about it makes my heart race!
And what about “Osaka,” the trendiest big city in the Kansai region?
It’s even more exciting~ Because this place isn’t just a food paradise, but also a city filled with warmth, fun, and captivating culture in every corner.
Starting this bright trip, we arrived in Osaka so excited we wanted to jump and dance right in the airport!
After passing through immigration, the first thing we did was grab our camera to take a photo of the official “Welcome to Osaka” sign 😄
Then we headed straight to the cute accommodation we booked in advance, which was not far from the famous shopping area… Yes, “Shinsaibashi” indeed~ 🎀
🛍️ Strolling Shinsaibashi & Dotonbori – The land of foodies and shoppers!
After unpacking, our feet almost ran out of the hotel
because the first goal was to shop in Shinsaibashi! This place is a fashion lover’s heaven, with shops lining the streets selling clothes,
cosmetics, cute cafes, and charming souvenirs. Whether you like sweet Japanese style or cool street fashion, there’s plenty to choose from.
But the highlight is at the Dotonbori intersection! The dazzling Glico sign waits for everyone to stand with arms raised for that iconic photo, and of course, we didn’t miss it~ Around there, there are authentic takoyaki shops where just walking by the smell is so tempting you have to stop and try some hot, delicious takoyaki 🍡✨
🎢 Universal Studios Japan – A world of imagination come true
Another Osaka highlight you can’t miss is USJ!!
Walking in feels like stepping into a movie world~
Our favorite zone is Super Nintendo World, full of adorable Mario-themed cuteness, mushroom gardens, and green pipes that melt your heart as soon as you enter 🍄🎮
We rode the Mario Kart Ride, which made our hearts race so fast we forgot to breathe!
There’s a racing game with realistic graphics, super fun! The Harry Potter zone still holds full magic, walking through Hogsmeade village,
with fake snow on the rooftops so cute you want to become a witch yourself~ 🪄🧙♀️
🏯 Osaka Castle – A beautiful castle in the heart of the city
Who says Osaka is only modern stuff? There’s also beautiful nature! We stopped by “Osaka Castle,” surrounded by lush gardens and cool ponds. The white castle with golden edges is stunning (we took photos from every angle!) and the atmosphere is so peaceful with little pigeons walking around 🕊️
🚃 Train trips to nearby cities – Nara & Kyoto
From Osaka, we also took the train to visit “Nara”!
To see the cutest deer in the world~ The deer roam freely like they own the city! We bought some senbei crackers to feed them, and the deer came running like we were the senbei fairy 🦌💕
Another must-visit city is “Kyoto,” the city of beautiful temples
and ancient Japanese atmosphere. It’s just about an hour away
to reach Kiyomizudera Temple and Higashiyama Street, where Japanese girls in kimonos stroll cutely. We didn’t miss renting kimonos and taking photos with blooming cherry blossoms, feeling like we stepped into a historical drama 🍡🌸
🍣 Osaka Food – So delicious you want to bow to the chef!
Osaka is known as the “Kitchen of Japan.”
The flavors never disappoint! From okonomiyaki (Japanese pizza),
takoyaki, overflowing sushi, to even simple-looking curry rice,
everything is so delicious it brings tears to your eyes 😭❤️
We also followed the trail of restaurants featured on Japanese TV,
like a ramen shop in a secret alley with only Japanese people lining up.
After tasting it, we understood “Ah! This is why they queue—it’s that good!”
🎀 Osaka… a city full of heart
Throughout this trip, what made us fall in love with Osaka the most
was not just the beautiful landmarks or delicious food, but the “people”
who are kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Whether lost or asking for directions, everyone was always smiling and ready to help 🥹
Osaka is a city that combines fun, liveliness, and family warmth all in one. Even though we spent several days exploring, it felt like just a blink of an eye. For anyone wondering where to go in Japan,
try keeping Osaka in your heart, and you’ll realize… this city is truly adorable.
