Osaka…🇯🇵
A city full of unique Japanese charm,
blending fun, liveliness, and warmth in a way unlike anywhere else 🍡🍜🌸 For anyone hesitating to book a ticket, I must say… get your heart ready to swell and let's travel together ☁️✨
🛫 Starting a sweet journey
The moment you step off the plane, the feeling of “Wow! I’m in Japan!”
rushes in and hugs you unexpectedly 💕 Kansai Airport (KIX)
is very clean and organized, and getting into the city is super easy.
Just take the Nankai Airport Express train to Namba,
and you’ll smoothly arrive in the heart of Osaka~
🏨 Cute and cozy accommodations
We stayed in the Shinsaibashi area, close to shopping spots and stations.
It’s just a short walk to Dotonbori. Rooms in Japan aren’t very big,
but everything is neatly arranged and so adorable you’ll want to fold it up and take it home 😍 There’s a small bathtub to soak and relax in too. For photo lovers, this room has beautiful lighting!
🍜 Serious about food!
Osaka is the capital of Japanese cuisine! This isn’t an exaggeration.
The food here is so delicious you’ll want to bow to every chef 🥺
• Takoyaki from the riverside stalls at Dotonbori: big balls, packed filling, crispy outside and soft inside, topped with bouncing dried fish flakes. Just the smell melts your heart 🐙
• Okonomiyaki, or Japanese pizza: thick batter filled with cabbage, meat, and seafood, finished with sweet sauce and mayonnaise… oh, pure bliss 😋
• Unagi don (eel rice bowl) from shops in Kuromon Ichiba Market: tender eel melts in your mouth, served with fragrant miso soup
• And of course, ramen! We tried many places, but the most impressive was the one with only Japanese customers lining up. Rich pork bone broth ramen with chewy noodles, slurped to the last drop without shame 🍜
🛍️ Shop, taste, and chill at Shinsaibashi & Dotonbori
Stroll and shop at Shinsaibashi where you’ll find many stores including brand names, cafes, cosmetics, and cute Japanese school uniforms
(you can wear them for photos). There are also cat cafes, owl cafes, and polar bear cafes to rest your feet 🐻
At Dotonbori, you must take a photo with the Glico sign featuring the running man crossing the finish line — a landmark everyone must snap! The nighttime atmosphere is lively with beautiful lights like being in an anime 🌃
🎡 Universal Studios Japan (USJ) – childhood dreams come true
Amusement park lovers can’t miss this place! From the moment you enter, you’re drawn into a world of imagination ✨
• Super Nintendo World zone is the cutest, like being inside a Mario game 🍄
• Harry Potter World with fake snow drifting and your wallet flying away too, but your heart is full~
• Minion Park filled with lovable yellow round characters who smile a lot. Photo lovers, make sure to allow enough time!
• Rides range from gentle to scream-your-lungs-out fun (but so enjoyable!). We recommend downloading the USJ app to check queue times and buy express tickets in advance.
🏯 Temples, castles, and gentle nature
• Osaka Castle is majestic, surrounded by lush gardens. Missing it is a mistake! The shady atmosphere is perfect for a stroll or light picnic, and every photo angle is adorable.
• Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine stands out with its red arched bridge, like stepping into a Japanese fairy tale.
• Tennoji Park and Tennoji Zoo are great for walks. Kids love it, and adults enjoy it too 💕
🚇 Easy and convenient travel like a dream
Osaka’s transportation is very easy with Osaka Metro
and JR Line. The IC card like Icoca can be used to tap and pay for trains and buses. It’s very cost-effective for multiple days 💳
Specially… walking in Osaka isn’t tiring at all because the city is full of delicious food, cute shops, and changing views around every corner 🌷
📸 Keep snapping photos, you can never get enough
Every corner of Osaka has a gentle charm that makes you want to keep your camera ready, whether it’s the city river, old buildings hiding cafes, or even the cute capsule toy machines in front of 7-Eleven 💗
💖 Impressions wrapped up in the heart
Osaka isn’t just about attractions or food, but the “warm feeling”
from people who smile even if they don’t know you, the friendliness of shops trying to speak English with us, and the city atmosphere that’s modern but not too rushed 🍂
⸻
Back in Thailand now, but my heart is still lingering around the Glico sign 🥺
If you have plans to go to Osaka, prepare your camera, your stomach,
and your heart because the charm of this city will surely take a small place in your heart 💫
Osaka… we will come back to see each other again 🍁🧳🍥
