[Osaka Expo] After touring 50 pavilions, I chose the top 4 Japanese pavilions to visit with the family

#LimitedEvent
The Osaka-Kansai Expo is less than a month away! Some visitors are rushing to the event, while others have already been there. I'm a little late, but I'd like to introduce Japan's pavilions today! I hope this brings back memories for those who visited! 🥰______________________
No.1🍃 Sumitomokan (2nd and 3rd photos)
"A journey to discover the 'story of life' deep in the forest. Feel your connection to nature at Sumitomokan." The Sumitomokan pavilion is themed "Let's move forward to the future, starting from the forest." 🥺 In a garden-like forest, visitors can experience "UNKNOWN FOREST." They're given a lantern and invited to listen to "invisible life" through the sounds of mist, trees, and wind! The building's architecture is also carefully crafted, using approximately 1,000 cedar and cypress trees from the Sumitomo Group's "Sumitomo Forest." The roof's shape is inspired by the mountain range of Besshi in Shikoku, creating a design that blends seamlessly with nature! The lottery for the Sumitomo Pavilion is quite difficult. Same-day reservations fill up quickly, so while the experience is incredibly exciting, it may not be possible for everyone. 😭

NO.2⚡ Panasonic Group Pavilion
"Nomo no Kuni" (photos 4 and 5)
"Free your mind, body, yourself, and the world. Discover the unknown in Nomo no Kuni." The Panasonic Pavilion's concept is, "Free your mind, body, yourself, and the world." Using handheld "crystals" (devices), you can explore 3D sound and spatial images, pass through a giant mist wall, and experience the unknown with all five senses. There are plenty of opportunities to discover new possibilities! With plenty of hands-on content, the keywords are "adventure," "exploration," and "discovery." The science museum-style educational exhibits after the experience were also fascinating! I hope you'll enjoy them with your kids! It's a pavilion! _______________________
No. 3🇯🇵 Japan Pavilion (photos 6 and 7)
"Experience 'recycling.' The Japan Pavilion is a symbol of the host country, with the theme "Between Life and Life." Visitors can relive the "recycling" process in three areas (Plant Area, Farm Area, Factory Area) where waste generated at the venue is decomposed by microorganisms and the resulting biogas is used to generate electricity, and where waste is transformed into water, materials, and products. The building is also full of ingenuity, with CLT (cross-laminated timber) wooden boards made from thinned wood and other materials arranged in a circular pattern. The structure blurs the boundaries between "waste," "things," and "people," while allowing visitors to visually experience the "relay" and "recycling." The design also takes into account the reuse of materials after the event has concluded. The Japan Pavilion is amazing! 👍 I'll definitely read the exhibit descriptions carefully. 🙆♀️

NO.4🌱 EARTH MART (photos 8 and 9)
"Eating is also a sign of respect for nature and culture. Discover the dining table of the future at Earth Mart." EARTH MART (themed "Weaving Life") is a pavilion that reexamines the relationship between life, culture, and the environment through food. Based on the motif of a "supermarket of imagination," it is comprised of multiple zones, including the "Life Floor," "Future Floor," and "Prologue/Epilogue." Visitors can reconsider what they take for granted through exhibits from diverse perspectives, including producers, chefs, and food tech. The building's roof is thatched with thatch (kaya, susuki, reeds, etc.) collected from across Japan, and is scheduled to be upcycled after the Expo ends. The exhibits are packed with materials that allow you to experience "food and life" using all five senses, such as "recycled rice," "traditional seasonings," "preserved foods," and "the life of fish and vegetables." The warm atmosphere makes it the perfect place to visit with family and friends. This pavilion made me think about the foundation of life that food provides! It's a theme that resonates with people of all generations, and one that we will continue to think about for the rest of our lives.
