[Osaka] It's like the British Pavilion at the World Expo

I went to a limited-time event at Umeda Hankyu.

This British fair took place from Wednesday, October 8th to Monday, October 20th in the 9th floor Event Hall & Festival Plaza.

The themes were "Countryside" and "Afternoon Tea Market."

As soon as I entered, the aroma of freshly baked scones wafted through the air, the steam from brewing tea,
the sweet aroma of jam and clotted cream...
It felt like my senses were gently switching to British time.

Popular stores had lines.
I heard that you can avoid the lines by using the online pre-order and pickup service.

I was able to buy scones in line too!
There were a variety of scones on offer.

The scones often had a "crispy outside, moist inside" texture, making for a light and delicious mouthfeel.
They were not too sweet, and you could enjoy adjusting them to your liking with the jam and clotted cream that came with them.

To reheat scones, lightly toast them in a toaster oven for 1-3 minutes. They'll likely harden if you microwave them.

Milk tea is also a big hit!

At the British Fair, there's a tea corner offering not only scones but also milk tea, with many booths offering them.
